Preparation

  1. Core apples and cut into thick rings.
  2. Trim fat from chops and sprinkle lightly with MasterFoods Sea Salt and MasterFoods Black Peppercorns Ground.
  3. Heat barbecue until hot and oil the grill bars.
  4. Place pork chops on grill and sear one side for one minute, turn and brush with MasterFoods Smokey BBQ Marinade to glaze.
  5. Continue to turn and glaze at 2 minute intervals, 4 or 5 times more until cooked to required degree. Take care not to overcook. Cooking time is 10-15 minutes depending on thickness of chops. If marinade is charring, place a sheet of baking paper over grill bars, place meat on top and continue to cook.
  6. Place a piece of baking paper on grill and place apple rings on tops (this prevents scorching)after the chops commence cooking.
  7. Brush with marinade and turn 2-3 times until soft and glazed.
  8. Mix the chilli and cooked rice together and heat on the side of the barbecue in a foil or metal dish.
  9. Serve chops with chilli rice and garnish with glazed apple rings.
