Preparation

  1. Carefully remove chicken meat from bones, giving eight individual pieces.
  2. Dust chicken breasts lightly with flour seasoned with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat butter in frying pan.
  4. Add MasterFoods Freshly Crushed Garlic and chicken.
  5. Saute gently until chicken is light golden brown.
  6. Add white wine and bring to boil.
  7. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 20 minutes or until chicken is tender.
  8. Remove chicken from pan (keeping juice and pan).
  9. Put a slice of ham on each piece of chicken, then top with a slice of cheese.
  10. Place on a heatproof serving dish.
  11. Cook in moderate oven, uncovered, for 10 minutes or until cheese has melted.
  12. While chicken is in oven, bring liquid in pan to boil.
  13. Boil uncovered until approximately half cup of liquid remains in pan.
  14. Reduce heat and add cream, chopped shallots and mustard.
  15. Stir until combined and season with MasterFoods Sea Salt and MasterFoods Black Peppercorns Ground to taste.
  16. Pour sauce over chicken to serve.
