Red Kidney Beans
440 gm

Preparation

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large saute pan or deep frying pan.
  2. Add the onion, MasterFoods Freshly Crushed Chilli and MasterFoods Freshly Crushed Garlic and MasterFoods Chilli Powder.
  3. Cook gently for 5 minutes, stirring regularly until the onions are softened and transparent but not browned.
  4. Drain the MasterFoods Red Kidney Beans, reserving the liquid.
  5. Blend all but 2 tablespoons of the beans to a puree in a food processor.
  6. Add the pureed beans to the pan with 2-3 tablespoons of the reserved liquid.
  7. Heat gently, stirring to mix well.
  8. Stir in the whole beans and the grated cheddar cheese.
  9. Cook gently for about 2-3 minutes, stirring until the cheese melts.
  10. Add MasterFoods Sea Salt and MasterFoods Black Peppercorns Ground to taste.
  11. Serve warm.
