Helping Our Community
Community is very important to us because we want to feel connected to and involved in our local community.
The Mars Food Australia factory based on the Central Coast, 95kms north of Sydney, is where all of our MasterFoods brand products are manufactured.
As part of Mars Food Australia, we believe in creating better food today for a better world tomorrow and sharing our products with those in need. Every year we provide food hampers and products to a variety of local, state and national charities such as Foodbank, church and community groups.
We believe we have a responsibility in helping create nutritious meals which are part of a healthy lifestyle. Being active is also part of a healthy lifestyle and we recognize that with our sponsorship of the Central Coast Mariners, the local soccer team in the national Hyundi A-League competition. You’ll see us at every home game.
We are investing and engaging in a large number of community projects.
Working with Schools and Universities
With an eye to the future, we work in conjunction with local schools and universities to share our knowledge of careers in food and manufacturing. In mid-2016, we became part of a new Australian Government initiative called Pathways in Technology (PTECH).
MasterFoods, as part of Mars Food Australia will work with Wyong High School, one of 12 high schools around the country where PTECH will be run.
Our role in PTECH is to mentor students to improve employment opportunities for local students and deliver stronger results in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) performance. Here's what Peter Crane, Mars Food Australia Research and Development Director has to say...
We are excited to support a school program that enables us to play a part in developing the next generation in our business and the food manufacturing industry.
