Oven Easy Creamy Herb & Garlic Potato Bake

  • 1 kg Potatoes, peeled & thinly sliced
  • 1 Onion (160 g), diced
  • 4 Short Cut Bacon Rashers (120 g), diced
  • 1 cup Light Thickened Cream (250 mL)
  • 1 MasterFoods™ Creamy Garlic & Herb Potato Bake Recipe Base
  • 1 cup Shredded Tasty Cheese (130 g)

  1. Preheat oven to 220 °C (190 °C fan forced).
  2. Layer half the sliced potatoes in a medium sized baking dish, top with half the onion and bacon.
  3. Layer remaining sliced potatoes followed by the remaining onion and bacon.
  4. Combine light cream and Recipe Base in a jug and pour over potatoes, onion and bacon.
  5. Cover dish with aluminium foil & bake for 45 minutes.
  6. Carefully remove from the oven and top with cheese. Bake uncovered for a further 20 minutes or until potatoes are soft and cheese is golden brown
  7. Serve as a side dish.
  8. Try adding thinly sliced mushroom after the first layer of potatoes for a tasty twist.
