What You'll Need
• 200 g dry Rice
• 2 tbsp Sweet Soy Sauce (Kecap Manis)
• 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
• 500 g lean Beef, diced
• 1 tbsp Canola Oil
• 2 Carrots (200 g), peeled & thinly sliced
• ½ bunch Spring Onions (100 g), trimmed & roughly chopped
• MasterFoods™ Korean BBQ Beef Meal Starter
How to make
1. Cook rice according to on-pack instructions.
2. Mix sweet soy sauce and sesame oil in a bowl, add beef to the bowl and toss to coat.
3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat, add carrot and cook for 5 minutes or until softened. Then, add in spring onions and cook for a further 2 minutes, or until browned. Set aside in a bowl.
4. Add meat to the empty pan and cook for 1 – 2 minutes or until browned.
5. Stir in Meal Starter and veggies, cook for a further minute and serve on top of cooked rice.
Other options: • Turn it up a notch by adding some Kimchi on the side • For added protein add an egg on top of the finished meal • For a lighter option swap rice for cauliflower rice
